GM and Cadillac

UPDATE
On August 14, 2008, I wrote that the management of General Motors were boneheads. But this definition also applies to Wall Street. How else do you explain companies that actually put themselves out of business.
Well, I do not like being right about the failures of others but I do enjoy being right about good investments.

UPDATE
The King is in the middle of a multi country Latin American tour and one thing is painfully missing. Of course, the average automobile is 40% smaller than average United States carriages, but what is so blatant, is that all of the luxury nameplates are represented in Latin America including Range Rover, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Lexus and Audi. Cadillac is not here!!!

WHAT BONEHEADS ELIMINATED THE CADILLAC DEALERSHIPS IN LATIN AMERICA AND IS THIS WHY GM IS NUMBER TWO!?!

Probably the same boneheads that created pay option arm mortgages.

Why is this important?

Well, Let me tell you. GM perpetrated the hierarchy of Brands starting with Chevrolet at the bottom and ending with Cadillac at the top. This meant that even if I could only afford a Chevrolet, that with a little hard work and luck, I could some day achieve the ownership of one of the Best Automobiles in the World. Honestly, GM builds the best riding large cars in the entire universe and even with high fuel cost, nothing feels better than the rear seat of a Cadillac. GM even builds the monster Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with 638 horspower and tops 200 miles per hour. As a matter of fact, as soon as I arrive back in the United States I am going to ride in big American luxury automobiles.

By GM not promoting Cadillac in Latin America, there is no fallout for Chevrolet our any other GM brands including Opel. This also technically abandoned the luxury market to Mercedes Benz, which is selling a lot of automobiles, even their SUV´s. Cadillac has features Mercedes cant touch like automatic hi beams and auto sensing wipers. GM, please call me, the Angry Black Man and lets get some combination dealerships in Central and South America pronto. GM, Trust the King on this one. Latin Americans have money for Luxury Automobiles.

The Good King George

I agree with you. When Costa Rica rebuilds the Pan American highway, I pray that it is to US Interstate standards so I can reduce my travel time by half.
