Black Lives Matter but on November 4, 2016, Black Votes will really matter. BlakPac is working to place conservative Blacks on the Ballot across the USA at all levels. There are nearly 57,000 registered Black GOP voters and another 219,000 with no party affiliation (Independents) in Florida, both of which have been, as usual, virtually ignored by the GOP establishment. BlakPac is actively polling this voting demographic with a response rate of 22%.

Sam Newby is the BlakPac  theory put into practice.. He delivered the largest city in Florida back to Republicans by running for a long shot city council seat. he also won the mayors race for Lenny Curry and is now the model the Republican Party needs to use in 2016.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, Sam Newby (R) defeated liberal Democrat Ju'Coby Pittman in the Jacksonville City Council District 5 Race. The Jacksonville City Council is actually a County Commission race. Sam won with a good old fashioned grass roots campaign, a strong conservative message  and a BlakPac.gop  data targeting strategy that appealed to conservative democrats, independents and republicans.

Another winner in Jacksonville, Florida was Republican Lenny Curry. Mayor Curry won with  51 percent, or 103,626 votes, to Democrat Alvin Brown’s 48 percent, or 98,353 votes. Even Republican operative Brian Hughes, the spokesman for the Republican Party credited Sam Newby  by stating “For all the hype, the thing that made the difference was Democrats crossing over.”   The mayors race was won by only 5,273 votes and Sam Newby delivered the goods.

Lenny Curry Campaign Manager Brian Swensen gave Sam strong praise for his help in opening doors that were previously closed to Republicans   He bragged that it was all Newby  "We built relationships, and engaged with the community,” including oft-neglected parts of the Republican coalition, such as the African-American, Asian, and Hispanic communities, and women, who were key."

Blakpac knows that for the Republicans to win in 2016, GOP candidates need more than 8% Black support at the polls and the current strategy used by Jeb Bush,  Donald Trump and others to insult voters by turning into Mitt Romney will not work.  A well funded strategy that copies the Jacksonville model with a combination of BlakPac strategy of recruiting qualified conservative Black Republicans in county and statewide statewide races and Frederick Douglas Republican messaging in urban areas  can produce upwards of 12% Black turnout for the eventual Republican nominee.  The BlakPac strategy also reached out and won Independent  voters, of which 23,79 were influenced by Republican Sam Newby and therefore pulled the lever for Lenny Curry.

Sheila Scott Griffin(R) tested the BlakPac theory in St. Petersburg Florida. , Sheila, a lawyer and a minister, brought integrity and insight to a depressed urban community consisting of 5 F schools and limited economic life.  Although Griffin lost her city  council race on August 25, 2015 in the St. Petersburg, Florida District 5, she secured 17% of the vote in an area that usually votes 98% Democratic. The Florida Democratic Party spent $20,000 on two negative mailers and a phone bank to drop Mrs. Griffin from polling at 30% to 17%. Unfortunately. the Republican Party of Florida did not respond to the attack and cost Sheila to lose the contest.

On November 4, 2014, Rick Scott(R), the Governor of Florida beat  liberal Charlie Crist(D) by 1.1% or only  64, 145 votes narrowly averting an automatic recount. Blacks, based upon a timely party switch by BlakPac Crusader Rev. Manuel Sykes of Bethel Community Baptist Church, from Democrat to Republican and a subsequent Sunday visit arranged by BlakPac Chair George Farrell.  According to the Washington Examiner, Mr Farrell. helped increase Black turnout from 34,000 to 95,000.  D.C. Councilman Kevin Chavous said Scott supported school choice and reached out to Black Pastors. His "Standing up for this program and having these pastors rally around him made a huge difference,"

Mr Farrell formed BlakPac on January 9, 2015 to get Black voters more engaged in conservative politics and to elect Black Conservative leaders.
