BlakPac disrupts Establishment Candidate

TAMPA -- BlakPac, a leading conservative political organization, disrupted the political establishment of Florida by endorsing Jackie Toledo, who in turn defeated Rebecca Smith in the Republican Primary of Florida State House District 60 on August 30, 51% to 49%. Jackie Toledo is Spanish.

Jackie Toledo was outspent 2 to 1, but social media and an effective ground game secured the victory. Rebecca Smith secured establishment endorsements from:

Florida’s CFO Jeff Atwater, Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, Mayor Dick Greco, General David M. “Tanker” Snyder, former U.S. Ambassador Melvin Floyd "Mel" Sembler, Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee, Speaker of the Florida House Will Weatherford, Governor Bob and Mary Jane Martinez, Mayor Rick Baker and Commissioner Al Higginbotham. Organizational endorsements throughout the campaign include the Tampa Bay Times, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Greater Tampa Association of REALTORS®, Associated Builders and Contractors Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, La Gaceta Newspaper, Florida Realtors Political Advocacy Committee, Florida Right to Life PAC, Florida Family Policy Council, National Association Black Women in Construction and Florida Architects’ Political Action Committee. Rebecca Smith had minimal minority engagement.

BlakPac has a core mission of electing conservative minorities. BlakPac has the most effective methods of engaging minority voters in America and we endorsed Jackie Toledo to show even against overwhelming odds, the right candidate with the right strategy and a plan can win. Jackie Toledo now faces Democrat David Singer in the General Election on November 8, 2016

Win with BlakPAC
