Mike graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO in 1980 with a BS and from the University of West Florida in Fort Walton Beach, FL in 1988 with an MBA.
Mike Hill’s career history began when he served in the United States Air Force from 1980-1990. Mike began his career with State Farm Insurance in 1990 in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  In 2000, Mike moved his office as a State Farm Agent to Pensacola, FL, where he currently works.
Mike Hill was elected to the Florida House of Representatives during a Special Election in June 2013. He is the representative for Florida House District 2, which includes south Escambia County and south Santa Rosa County.
During the 2015 Legislature, Rep. Hill served as the Vice Chair of the Civil Justice Subcommittee, and was a member on the Energy & Utilities Subcommittee, the Finance and Tax Committee, and the Rules, Calendar & Ethics Subcommittee.
While in office, he has sponsored legislation pertaining to: lowering taxes and excess spending, protecting the unborn, assisting families with developmental disabilities, military friendly issues, historic based education standards, and encouraging Congress to pass a balanced budget.
Mike Hill has been married to the former Greta Fields for 33 years.  Together they have three children – Joshua, Jessica, and Jonathan.  He and his family attend of Marcus Point Baptist Church.
Mike Hill has invested interests throughout the State of Florida.  Some of his affiliations include:
  • 2013- Present West Florida Hospital, Board of Directors
  • 2000 – Present Associated Marine Institute/Kids (AMIkids), Executive Council.
  • 1995 – Present Gideon’s International.
