Is Obama a Liberal fantasy?

Is President Obama a Liberal fantasy come to life? Is he the earliest lame duck ever? Maureen Dowd, a New Your Times columnist was dismissed by President Obama who said that Obama is not nearly as tough as he should be.

Dowd has a point as President Obama spends his Presidency avoiding tough situations so that he is not perceived as the angry black man. His avoidance of displays of anger would work if he was surrounded by a stronger team.

Vice President Joe Biden lacks the ability of strong arm tactics used by Dick Cheney and this has made president Obama appear weak and ineffective in dealing with Congress. Of course, he continues to repeat the "Senate Republicans/House Republicans aka the white man wont let me" line on a weekly basis. He trotted out this line again at the Correspondence Dinner when he joked "I know Republicans are still sorting out what happened in 2012, but one thing they all agree on is they need to do a better job reaching out to minorities, And look, call me self-centered, but I can think of one minority they could start with. Hello? Think of me as a trial run, you know?"

Micheal Douglas was addressed and dismissed in a quip from Obama at the annual White House Correspondence Association Dinner "Michael, what's your secret man?  Could it be that you were an actor in an Aaron Sorkin liberal fantasy?  Might that have something to do with it?"  Obama will not get stronger but weaker by avoiding direct confrontation with China, Syria,  or submitting a budget as he avoids difficult situations.

His management team of under 30 year old's occupying the Executive Office Building are more concerned with social media placement than solutions for a stalling economy. It's Obama that's playing the liberal fantasy by being non confrontational and believing you can please everyone.   It time for Obama to toughen up, crack down on Syria, submit a real budget, and be more Presidential.
